Hippie music Hippies are very music orientated. The most famous groups that stereotypically are aimed at this subculture were ‘The Beatles’ ‘The Sex Pistols’ ‘The Rolling Stones’ and also the very famous singer ‘Bob Dylan.’ They all have a similar style of ‘chill’ which was very popular with the hippies. They typically listen to psychedelic music, which then progressed in the 1970’s to punk rock and roll.
